Oh dear! I haven't been very good at blogging!!!
Too many things going on right now :)
Anyway, here is one I did a little while ago.
It is difficult at the moment to photograph
my updated paintings because of the weather.
I am hoping for some bright days over the next
few days...fingers crossed.

Watercolour cactus

This is a cactus I painted from a video demo by Mollie
on Painting Friends Forum. Not great, but still I got my
brushes wet!

Wild Poppies for Remembrance Day.

Trying a different technique.

Sorry! I have been slow to get back here!!!It is a combination
of a busy time and feeling a bit unwell this last week.

This is an idea I started after one of my early posts, a pastel
of Sandra's grandaughter. Decided to try building it up using lines.
I quite like the effect and might do some more using this technique.

The first picture is earlier on in the process.
The second one is the finished painting.

Something different today.
This was a challenge on Painting Friends forum.
I have a crop too. Not sure which I prefer.

Here is the finished portrait, at last!
Hope you like it.

I think I prefer the crop, and the colour is nearer to my painting.

Continuing the next steps with my painting.
I realised the last stage in yesterdays post
looked a bit garish, so thought I should quickly
move on...

Many apologies for not getting back here sooner!
Just a very busy time recently. Also I needed to
get down to re-sizing my photographs.

Here is my second portrait of Sandra's grandaughter.
It is done in stages again and just my way of doing it.
All done in pastels again. Maybe I should try watercolour
sometime, but I would need to do more pre-thinking.

Finished portrait. I really enjoyed doing this one :)

Here are the next 2 stages of the portrait of Sandra's grandaughter.
I really enjoyed doing this one:)
